Frond Chair

Our award winning Frond Chair is a work of art, in addition to being a highly comfortable and durable piece of furniture. Handcrafted in Detroit, and made from sustainably grown and harvested multi-veneer Baltic birch plywood, the Frond Chair is formaldehyde-free. The Frond Chair (shown in painted white) is available in a wide variety of custom colors.

The Frond Chair makes a statement in any room that it graces. It’s long elegant lines stand up to even the highest of ceilings, making it an excellent addition to areas with vaulted ceilings, tall windows or extended skylights.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) has certified the plywood we use as environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable for their part of the management of the world’s forests. Precision computer cutting allows us to make one complete chair out of a single sheet of plywood. This results in fewer trees being used. And, less waste means far less strain on our landfills.
